    1. Warsaw Pact: A military treaty which told that a country would be aided if needed help. It was also called “A Treaty of Friendship.”

    2. NATO: it was for the purpose of collective security. In 1994 it launched partnerships for peace initiative, in order to forge alliances with former Warsaw Pact countries

    3. United Nations: was created to help promote international security and peace. The United Nations was an organization formed by independent states in 1945.

    4. United States Department of Defense: The United States Department of Defense was responsible for safeguarding national security of the United States. It was created in 1947.

    5. Marshall Plan: was created for economic aid that was given to Europe after world war 2 in hope that the economy would get better. It was also securing them from Communist taking over.

    6. S.E.A.T.O.: was an organization formed in 1954 in Manila in defense keep aggression southeastern Asia and the southwestern Pacific. It was abolished in 1977.

    7. C.I.A.: also know as the Central Intelligence Agency is a civilian intelligence agency of the United States government.

    1. Warsaw Pact: A treaty established between many of the countries involved in the war. Hence it’s informal name “the Treaty of friendship.”

    2. NATO: It was the military alliance between the democratic North America and European countries.

    3. United Nations: An international organization composed of most of the countries of the world. Founded in 1945 to promote peace, security, and economic development.

    4. United States Department of Defense: The federal department responsible for safeguarding national security of the United States; created in 1947.

    5. Marshall Plan: Economic recovery plan designed and implemented by the US to assist with recovery efforts for Western Europe after World War 2.

    6. S.E.A.T.O.: An organization formed by many countries, along with and the United States, for collective defense against aggression in southeastern Asia and the southwestern Pacific: abolished in 1977.

    7. C.I.A.: An independent agency of the United States government responsible for intelligence activities abroad in the national interest.

    2. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization or NATO, also called the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernment millitary allience which was signed on April 4th 1949. The NATO headquarters are in Brussels, Belgium and the organization constitutes a system of collective defence whereby its member states agree to mutual defense in response to an attack by any external party.

Marshall spoke of urgent need to help the European recovery in his address at Harvard University in June 1947.
    6. The Southeast Asia Treaty Organization was an international organization for collective defense which was signed on September 8, 1954 in Manila. The formal institution of SEATO was established at a meeting of treaty partners in Bangkok in February 1955. It was primarily created to block further communist gains in Southeast Asia. The organization’s headquarters were located in Bangkok, Thailand. SEATO was dissolved on June 30, 1977.

    1.Warsaw Pact: It was the military alliance of the Eastern European Soicet Bloc countries. It was to go against the US’s NATO. IT was to form a non-nuclear confrontation between the Soviet and Untied States.

    2.NATO: it was when aiding the Germans in the Berlin airlift. the purpose by keeping Europe strong and vulnerable to the communists (like the Soviets).

    3.United Nations: it was to promote international peace and security. It composed of all of the countries around the world where they talk about the social issues and debated about what to do to preserve the peace.

    6.SEATO: an organization that was established to block communist gains in Southeast Asia. This was the S.E. Asian version of THE NATO.

    7.CIA: an agency of the US government to respond and collect intelligent information outside the country that could be in the world’s interest like terrorism.

Warsaw Pact; The Warsaw Pact has evolved into something other than the mechanism of control the Soviet Union originally intended it to be, and it has become increasingly less dominated by the Soviet Union since the 1960s. The organizational structure of the Warsaw Pact has grown and has provided a forum for greater intra-alliance debate, bargaining, and conflict between the Soviet Union and its allies over the issues of national independence, policy autonomy, and East European participation in alliance decision making.

    2. NATO; was an alliance of nations which included the USA, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Its purpose was to simply defend western Europe against the USSR.

    3. United Nations; an international organization whose goals are to ensure world peace. This was found in 1945 after the World War 2 to replace the League of Nations & to stop wars from fighting.

    4. United states department of Defense; were an organization responsible for operation & maintenance. The purpose of this organization was to conduct and hold responsibility for many of the wars and offer a form of defense for soldiers.

    5. Marshall Plan; was a large economic plan. This was used to rebuild and create stronger foundations for the people after World War 2.

    6. S. E. A. T. O; SEATO stands for South East Asia Treaty Organization. The Eisenhower administration provided South Vietnam with money and advisors to help stop the threat of a North Vietnamese takeover. The United States also was pledged by treaty (SEATO) to aid the member nations in southeast Asia, if they were attacked by a foreign (communist) power.

    1. Warsaw Pact: The Warsaw pact is another name for the Treaty of Friendship, which was a treaty that was a mutual defense treaty among eight communists states in Europe. These states included the Soviet Union, Poland, and Hungary. The treaty established the agreement that if any of those areas were under attack that the others would help.

    4. U.S. Dept. of Defense: The Dept. of Defense is a U.S. federal department that is initially in charge of all issues that deal with the subject of national security and the Armed Forces. This department includes all military departments such as the Marines, Navy, etc. It establishes defense and security from domestic attacks.

    5. Marshall Plan: The Marshall Plan was the plan to re-establish the economic foundations in European countries after WWII. This plan included that countries would receive money in order to help them and some 13 billion dollars was spent by the U.S. in order to help those countries.

    6. S.E.A.T.O.: South East Treaty Organization was an international organization for collective defense. This organization was established to stop the spread of communism throughout Asia.

    7. C.I.A.: The Civilian Intelligence Agency is another part of the U.S. government that establishes homeland security and the protection against outside threats and is also a protector of the president. This agency was establishes after WWII in order to perform certain activities behind enemy lines for the armed forces.

    SEATO was the asian counterpart to nato but it wasn’t as successful as nato.

    6.) S.E.A.T.O-Was a collective defense for Southeast Asia around Japan. Its primarly goal was to protect Asian territory from further communist control.This organization was also very similar to NATO in the Atlantic.

This organization also succeded OSS which was a organization during WWII.
